Not to blow our own trumpet BUT we have had a visit from a Mystery Customer who turned out to be a food critic for a magazine called 'Pub, Club, Food, Music & Leisure Guide'. Who in turn gave a superb critique praising our choice of food, service and pricing. Following is the piece verbatim and we must name the Mystrey Customer as Fiona Whitehead: "The Park Inn is situated on until 8pm. We called at 7 o'clock on a Thursday mainly to avoid the mad rush hour. There is a wide selection of dishes to choose from off the evening menu and there is something to accommodate all palates. For starters me and my friend shared the 'Mixed Combo' which was Onion Rings, Garlic Mushrooms, Chicken Cajuns, Potato Wedges and a Dip. For mains I chose the Haddock, Chips and Peas which went down a treat whilst Joanne went for the 'Mixed Grill' which consisted of a 4oz Rump and Gammon Steak, Chicken Fillet, 2 Sausages, Fried Egg, Onion Rings, Chips, Peas and Tomato. Both portions were huge and the dishes were more than enjoyable. Joanne who has a titanic appetite even managed to squeeze in the Hot Chocolate Fudge Cream Cake which was equally lip-smackingly palate-cleansing. This establishment does offer great food at good a price, definitely a pub with a clean bill of health is the Park Inn - go there!" | |||
